Employment in Liechenstein

Swiss citizens can work in Liechtenstein without a residence permit, but this only applies if you reside in Switzerland and commute to Liechtenstein for work. This arrangement is part of the Switzerland-Liechtenstein bilateral agreement on the free movement of persons.
Moving to Liechtenstein (i.e., becoming a resident) requires a residence permit, which is subject to strict quotas. Even Swiss citizens face restrictions and need to apply for one of the limited permits allocated specifically for them each year.
